Yelloh! Village les Tournels stretches over a steep hillside, set amidst the cork and pine trees of the Cap Camaret peninsula - one of Europe’s most glamorous destinations. The site is an ideal base for exploring the local area. Mature trees shade many of the emplacements from the hot sun and from many parts of the campsite there are stunning views over the bay and surrounding vineyards.
The Les Tournels campsite has been recommended to us by friends who had a fantastic family holiday there. Here is what they said : "It really was everything that a family could want – a campsite that catered for all children's ages (and we have 4 children between 5 and 12) and a coast that will give you all you will ever want from a beach.
The campsite is large but we didn’t feel that this made it impersonal, if anything the children's entertainment staff made the children feel special. The swimming pool was the campsite hub during the day and the slides and lagoon pool will keep children more than occupied. There were onsite clubs (for all ages) and evening entertainment, in a separate amphitheatre, that the children really looked forward to every night. This year the shows varied from a magician (excellent) to a Michael Jackson tribute show as well as the weekly children's show. The campsite has so much to do that we found we couldn’t fit it all in
The surrounding area is beautiful, very green and lots of walking routes and beaches with golden sands if that is what you like, and it was great feeling to be able to swim in the Mediterranean sea. The local villages are beautiful and well worth a visit, and then there is always the choice to go into Port Grimaud or St Maxine if you feel the need for shops or water parks or amusement parks.
And no visit to this area would be complete without a visit to St Tropez – it will let you see how the other half lives!
The beach is about a 20 minute walk from the site. Or if you drive it takes 5 - 10 minutes and parking costs about 5Euros. The Riviera area does get very busy in August and it can be difficult to drive anywhere, unless you manage to get out in the morning. But with so much to do onsite, you might not want to make many trips !
This site is a member of the Yelloh! Village chain of campsites.

Disclaimer: The reviews published on the site are intended solely for the purpose of providing general information and comment and are purely our opinions. We cannot guarantee that reviews of descriptions on this site are accurate, up to date or free from error. We have found that the campsites described are very good but we find that it is difficult to find a campsite which has 100% of what you are looking for. Also one person may love a busy campsite with lots of activities while someone else may love a quiet campsite with a small swimming pool. Actually we tend to be the latter ! So what we have done is highlight the good points of the sites and maybe point out a few of what we have found as slightly negative points. However we strongly recommend that you make full use of as many internet sources as possible before deciding about your holiday, including other review sites and Google maps etc.
