A member of the Castels chain of parcs, Sequoia Parc is a Castels camping parc with a chateau and impressive old stone farm buildings in the main courtyard which house the restaurant and bar.
This château parc is a spacious site set in 130 acres only 5km from the nearest sandy beach at Marennes Plage and featuring a magnificent waterpark and excellent facilities to entertain the families with younger children.
During high season the parc becomes more lively when evening entertainment and activities, a lot aimed at young children, are organised. The parc is 5km from the old town of Marennes. Please note : Take insect repellent and plug ins for mosquitoes which appear in the evenings depending on the time of year. Also if you plan to hire bicycles or play tennis then make sure you have extra Euros with you for this as deposits for cycle hire etc can be quite high (eg 50-100Euros) !

Things to Do in the Area
Cognac Vineyards (40km)
You can take a tour of the vineyards in the Cognac area, one of the top vine growing areas in France.
Cognac Brandy Distilleries (about 60km/45 miles)
The Cognac area is famous for producing brandy, made by distilling white wine, which is then aged in wooden casks, giving it its distinctive golden colour. Some of the famous producers include Courvoisier, Hennessy, Martel and Remy Martin. We toured the Hennessy distillery in Cognac itself, which was an excellent tour. We chose to do the 11E tour and this included a tasting ! The tour starts by taking a boat to cross the Charente river to the distillery. You will get to see the distilling process and the vast cellars storing the casks. There is also a museum area. There are English speaking tours as well. This link will take you to a summary of some of the tours that are on offer: - http://www.discover-poitou-charentes.com/food-drink/cognac-2/cognac
